The House
"Illam" — the old word for a wooden house built for Kerala's landed families.
Palathra Heritage keeps that idea intact. Three cottages of aged timber sit inside a working green farm, holding five rooms in total — spacious, quiet, and built long before air conditioning was ever a question. Guests describe it less as a hotel stay and more as a night inside someone else's inheritance.
Every room looks out onto the farm rather than a car park. Bathrooms are private, with a separate shower and toilet. The pace here is set by the property, not the itinerary.
